Fitness Journal: Day 6

Exercise:
Completed Bum Bum workout this morning. Felt in need of some hardcore cardio. I didn't eat anything before I did it, and really noticed a lack in energy and precision in my movements. (Note to self, take in small amount of smoothie/protein beforehand).

Diet:
Had green goddess smoothie as per usual for breakfast, with lunch, and for snack. Made detox lentil soup for lunch, planning on having small portion for dinner with veggies. Also drinking 4-6 lg bottles of water and 3-4 cups of detox tea.

Mind/Body:
I want to understand my body better in hopes of making the required changes to my fitness and lifestyle, so that I may achieve maximum results; as well as address my workout/quit cycle. I talked to a good friend about it today as I was preparing all my healthy food; peeling beets (a cumbersome process), cutting up fruit and freezing it for smoothies etc. I asked her why she thought it was so hard for me to stick with it. Her reply, "because its so much work." Point well made but the work reaps so many benefits. So why is it so hard to stick with it when you know you feel better on every level?

Last night I was doing research about real people's results with Brazil Butt Lift and found the link below. I was so motivated by this women's fitness journey; and by seeing what she accomplished in a year of sticking to it!
Amazing Beachbody workout results!

Fitness Journal: Day 4

Exercise:
Completed Bum Bum workout. Feeling more competent in moves, although still room to improve. Hope to add High and Tight workout tomorrow.

Diet:
Drinking Green Goddess smoothies for breakfast and lunch with added protein. Made salmon with rice and veggies for dinner. No slip ups today!!

Body/Mind:
Feeling much more clear headed, finding better perspectives on most things that bother me. Much more energy and motivation. Also creative juices are flowing, not sure how much this has to do with a healthy lifestyle...I'm guessing a lot since I had zero before this!

Hoping for a wonderful day tomorrow. I'm pretty worn out right now.

Have a great evening.

Fitness Journal: Day 3

Exercise:
Completed day 3 of Brazil Butt Lift, Bum Bum. I feel amazing! It gets your heart rate up so high! I'm on an endorphin high!

Diet:
Ate healthy all day yesterday. However, I went out on a girls night and indulged in one glass of wine and a small portion of a cheese platter. I'm drinking the Green Goddess smoothies for breakfast and lunch with added protein powder and snacks, as well as Yogi brand detox tea.

Mind/Body:
Why do I stop working out? The feeling is amazing, it always feels worth it no matter how much I don't want to do it. I'd like to use this fitness journal to finally figure out the vicious cycle I get into...all guns blazing healthy, healthy, healthy for a couple of months and then I get burnt out etc. and stop. (And by stop I mean, eat whatever I want and be lazy). I think I have some self discipline issues that I need to work out...Will keep you posted.

Mind/Body:
I feel better already! Yesterday I noticed myself craving more physical exercise. I had a ton of energy and was in a great mood! Today I've noticed my mind feeling clearer allready, I feel positive and on track!!

I think I've finished the eating/sloth chapter of this book for now! Onward and upward!

Fitness Journal: Day 1

Ok...It's happened again. I've hit my physical rock bottom. During my own version of Eat Pray Love... I've completed the eating/sloth phase. During which I've let my body go to "hell in a hand basket." Now onto Pray...My body is my temple and all that jazz right, well it's time to start treating it as so.

The Goal, The Expectation:

-Brazil Butt Lift. You paid way too much for it, so use it every darn day, except Sundays.
-30 Min Yoga Practice Daily
-15 Meditation Practice Daily
-Eat Clean...Meaning Jeremy is taking the homemade German Chocolate Cake that I made to work!!

As Debbie Sibers another one of my fitness Guru's says...See you tomorrow!!

Critical Me

Self-Esteem: Is ignorance bliss?

Anyone that knows me well, can attest to the fact that I am critical. The person that I am most critical of is myself. In fact I am quite forgiving of the faults of others that I love. So lets delve further into this self inflicted, self directed critic.

See the picture above of the beautiful Victoria's Secret model. That is my goal physically. So to me physically, if I don't look that way the critical me comes out. I am aware that I am easy on the eyes and in fact quite physically blessed. However, I feel this constant internal pressure to be as physically perfect as possible.

In a recent conversation with my sounding board husband, (aka. Mr. Critical Pants)  I inquired into our mutual idea of what we want to look like, and how it affects our self-esteem. We both agreed that until the self imposed internal goal of what we want to look like is achieved that it does affect one's self esteem. (The weird thing here, we both love each other physically to pieces faults and all)...this is all self imposed.

My next question; how can someone lacking a great deal physically, socially, intellectually etc. have incredibly high self esteem? The answer; they probably don't care about those things and just love themselves because. So is ignorance bliss? Is it better to just accept what we have and not care, or should we continue to be critical of ourselves? Please don't misunderstand me here, by critical I mean paying attention to both the good and bad qualities and always striving to improve.

Is it so wrong to expect that you look as good as you possibly can? To push yourself to work towards achieving that goal? I really don't think so.

However, what I do think is more important is to make sure that the stuff inside the physical exterior is as perfect as possible as well...and that this part needs equal if not more attention!
